2-Propenylboronic acid - Introduction
Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-(Isopropenylboronic acid) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C3H7BO2.
Nature:
1. Appearance: Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-colorless to light yellow crystal or liquid.
2. Solubility: Soluble in water and organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, etc.
3. Stability: relatively stable and can be stored at room temperature.
Use:
1. As an important organic synthesis intermediate, it can be used to prepare other organic boron compounds.
2. In organic synthesis, it can be used as a source of boron to participate in cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki-Miyaura reactions and Negishi reactions to synthesize aromatic compounds.
3. It can be used to prepare polymers and materials, such as resins, rubbers, drugs, etc.
Method:
Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-can be prepared:
1. Obtained by hydrolysis of isopropenoyl boronic acid ester.
2. Boric acid reacts with 2-bromoethane to generate 2-bromoethyl boric acid, and then the target product is generated by rapid dehalogenation reaction.
Safety Information:
1. Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-irritating, contact with skin and eyes may cause irritation, direct contact should be avoided.
2. During use, care should be taken to avoid inhaling Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-Dust or steam, and avoid ingestion of the mouth.
3. Use should wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves, glasses and protective clothing.
4. During storage, the Boronic acid, (1-methyllethenyl)-should be stored in a dry, cool, ventilated place, away from fire and oxidant.
Please note that chemical experiments and operations should be carried out with appropriate knowledge and safety conditions and in compliance with relevant safety practices.
